Tech Insurance Fee & Parent University

Good afternoon Eagle Parents.

 

Here are a couple of reminders of upcoming events.

 

The $20 Technology Insurance fee must be paid by the deadline of September 30, 1019 for the current 2019-20 school year.  It can be paid online under the Student Fee section in Parent Portal.  

 

Late enrollees have 30 days to pay from the date that they enroll in Richland Two.  The Technology fee covers one incident of accidental damage.  If the Technology fee is not paid, the student will be assessed the full cost of the repair or replacement.  If there are any questions, please contact Ms. Julie-Ann Harris, our bookkeeper or Ms. Janice Wylie, our Technology & Learning Coach.

 

We will host our first Parent University of the school year on Thursday, October 3, 2019, at 5:30 pm. Parent University is designed to create partnerships between school and home, and provide a place where parents and staff members can learn together. Our Parent University sessions are aimed at engaging local experts, parents and school staff in conversations about ways in which we can collectively support our students.  Please join us! We will be providing dinner for the family, door prizes, and free childcare.  

 

Topics include: 

Bullying: Words Do Matter,  ESOL Q&A Session, Family Goal Setting, and a Technology Session for Parents.  We will also have a Middle School 101 session that will provide information and resources to help students as they transition to the next level.
