SPMS Parent University 2018-19

The first Parent University for SPMS will be held on September 27, 2018.

The Parent University will utilize a round robin type format. The first meeting
will consist of three focus areas: Navigating Teacher Websites and Google Classroom, Using Parent
Portal to Stay Current on your Child’s Grades and Progress, and
What You Can Expect at Summit Parkway Middle School.
We will begin the evenings events in the gym with a general session, and then
followed by rotating parents to the three
session areas by the grade level of their child. (see below)

Time of event 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm

General Session 6:00 pm to 6:15 pm

Session 1 6:18 pm to 6:38 pm Navigating Teacher Web Sites and Google Classroom (Gym)

Session 2 6:41 pm to 7:01 pm Using Parent Portal to Stay Current on Child’s Grades and Progress (Media Center)

Session 3 7:04 pm to 7:24 pm What You Can Expect at Summit Parkway MS; What We Expect of Your Child (Cafeteria)

Rotation Schedule:

6th Grade will start in Session 1, next Session 2, and finally Session 3

7th Grade will start in Session 2, next Session 3, and finally Session 1

8th Grade will start in Session 3, next Session 1, and finally Session 2
