Thing's happening here at the Summit Parkway this week

• Good Things

A big shout out to Dr. Buelt, our Media Specialist!  She recently earned funding at DonorsChoose.org for a classroom project called “Welcome to the Nest”.  The items in the project will provide various books and additional requested resources to enhance our Media Center.

• Athletic - Basketball

On Monday, December 4^th, our Summit Basketball teams play at Dent and on Wednesday, December 6^th, we will host Kelly Mill.  The girl’s game will start at 3:00 pm followed by the boy’s.  Please come out and support our Eagles!

• SIDI Family night

The SIDI Family night will be Tuesday, December 5^th.  Contact Mrs. Dea Jones, the SIDI Lead Teacher for details.

• AVID

AVID 101 Parent night and Family Holiday Potluck is Thursday, December 7^th.  Please RSVP to Ms. Susan Parker if your family plans to participate.  She can be reached at sparker@richland2.org.

• BETA Club – Sock Drive

The BETA Club is sponsoring a SOCKS Drive from November 27 – December 8, 2017.  The new SOCKS will be donated to help children and adults.  Donated SOCKS can be given to one of the BETA Club advisors; Mrs. Hargrove or Ms. Clay as well as your child’s home room teacher.

• Interim

Next Friday, December 8^th, interims will be available via Parent Portal.  Please remind your child to be sure to turn in any missing assignments so their grades will be accurate. 

• Winter Concerts

Mark your calendars, winter concerts are just around the corner.  There will be lots of great musicians and fun for everyone.  All of the concerts will start at 6:30 pm in our Gym.  Dates are below.

Band Winter Concert – Tuesday, December 12^th

Chorus Winter Concert – Wednesday, December 13^th

Orchestra Winter Concert – Thursday, December 14th
