LACE UP & GO

Get Up and Move!
These days, we’re spending more time at work and sitting in front of a screen than ever before. We're becoming less active, which can increase our risk of heart disease, stroke and other diseases.

Take the first step to a healthier life by taking part in the American Heart Association's National Walking Day on April 6.  On that day, we kick off a month-long celebration designed to help us all become more active. By committing to walk for at least 30 minutes, you can get healthier and raise awareness about the importance of being physically active.   Encourage your students and fellow employees to walk during recess, after school and on the week-ends!

**80% of heart disease is preventable with lifestyle choices…being active is key!
