Beginning May 23rd, students in grades 6-8 will participate in Comprehensive Health Instruction in their science classes. To help you make an informed decision about your child's participation in this instruction, we will hold an Optional-Out Parent meeting on Wednesday, May 21st, at 5:30 pm, in the school's media center. There will be a science teacher from each grade level in attendance to review details related to the health curriculum for each grade level and to address your questions.
Earlier this week, all students were given an 'Opt-Out' form by their science teacher to bring home. This form should be used if you do not wish for your child to participate in this curriculum and instruction. Students who do not participate in Comprehensive Health Instruction will work on an alternate health assignment in a separate location.
