Students in Mr. Butler's geometry class adopted a family in conjunction with Families Helping Families. They were assigned a family of four and raised money by selling Krispy Kreme Donut certificates. They sold over 90 certificates and were able to fulfill their financial obligation. All of the students participated.
The students had an exciting week. The shopped, wrapped, and delivered their packages that included clothes, toys (even a bicycle), and books. They were also able to give a gift certificate for a holiday meal. Summit Parkway is so proud of these students and Mr. Butler. They have displayed enthusiasm, empathy, and school and holiday spirit.
