Harvest Hope Food Drive

Lisi Harrison, Author Visit
Student excitement rang throughout the building as Ms. Harrison engaged in an author luncheon and spoke to the student body during the author program.
Jared from Subway
Summit Parkway was lucky to be chosen as one of three schools in the Columbia area for a Jared appearance. You probably know Jared Fogle as the guy on the Subway commercials who lost over 200 lbs. by changing his eating habits. He told his story to our Get Fit and PE students, and he encouraged our students to develop healthy lifestyles by eating well and exercising. The students have been participating in the Subway Fit for Life Challenge.

Harvest Hope
Summit Parkway Middle School Students raised over 840 items for the Harvest Hope Food Bank. These items will support the emergency food bank during these winter months. Way to go Summit Eagles!

Veteran's Day Celebration
Summit Parkway will be celebrating this
occasion on Monday the 11th of November. We will have a Biscuit Breakfast for Vets
(active and retired) from all branches of service at 8:15am in
the Cafeteria. Our assembly will begin at 9am where
we will be formally adopted by the 2nd Battalion/ 60th Infantry Regiment! Their
CO and XO will be some of our speakers. Vets are welcome to wear their uniforms
as we will be taking a picture to hang in our school.

7th Grade Field Study
The 7th grade class will be going on a field study to Discovery Place on Friday, May 23. The cost of the trip is $50. A deposit of $25 is due by Friday, November 15. Permission forms went home in the report card covers on Friday, November 1. Please contact your child's homeroom teacher if you have any questions.
